Eickenroht Elementary School is named after a former music teacher in Spring ISD, Ralph Eickenroht, who was hired by the district in 1958 to start a districtwide band program.  As the first band director at Spring High, he wrote the words to the SHS alma mater. Eickenroht Elementary School opened in 2009.
